Jack's work with children, youth, and families over the past 15 years has taught him that meaningful therapeutic work begins with connection, trust, and creating a space where people feel safe to be themselves. Jack works with children individually, alongside parents and caregivers, to navigate challenges and help them discover their own strengths. He strives to understand and support each young person as an individual, recognizing and valuing their unique strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world.
Jack's therapeutic approach is grounded in strengths-based practices, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. He uses play as a medium for therapy, creating a space where kids can explore their emotions, build new skills, and make sense of their experiences in ways that feel natural and meaningful to them. Jack's goal is to make therapy a collaborative process, working alongside children and families to identify what matters most to them and find approaches that fit their individual needs.
Outside of work, Jack loves spending time outdoors and pursuing creative and hands-on activities. You can often find him hiking, biking, canoeing, camping, carving wood, taking photographs, playing piano, baking/cooking and playing video games.
Jack works in-person at the Belleville office and virtually across Ontario.
