Therapy together with those you care about
Who benefits from dyadic therapy?
Families, couples
Common treatment goals
Support communication, parent-child attachment, healthy relationships
Possible benefits
Deeper understanding of each other, healthy communication, increased connection
Several therapists at Family Tree Therapy offer dyadic and family therapy. With specialized training in either Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy or couples therapy, we are equipped to help your family find deeper connections together.
Dyadic therapy (caregiver and child) is often more effective in a play-based space because a child can access the tools they need to effectively co-regulate and communicate. Imagine having a conversation about a big change happening in your house while building a fort together. Or trying to make slime together while chatting about big feelings. Play-based dyadic therapy can be a meaningful way to deepen relationship.
Parents are always our co-pilots in the therapy room and together we find neat ways to navigate hard stuff.
We offer creative therapeutic approaches to help navigate the tough stuff in childhood, parenting and adulting. Family Tree Therapy is a place where you can connect, imagine and belong.
