Family Tree Therapy

Casey began her journey as a Social Worker and followed her passion towards roles that aligned with her core beliefs. One pillar in Casey’s work is believing all people do their best with the toolbox they have access to at the time, even in the dreariest of circumstances. Every child, youth, adult, and family unit deserves support that sees them for who they are, separate from the heaviness and overwhelm of difficult times. Casey helps to unearth inner strengths and capacities while implementing a custom approach to support growth, resulting in people developing a more wholesome set of skills in their toolbox and a profound sense of who they are.

Casey leads with warmth and compassion, sometimes a shared laugh. She is rooted in developing relational safety with a gentle curiosity for who you are, where you are located, and what your neurobiology looks and feels like. Casey is an integrative therapist who pulls from a range of therapeutic play-based and sensorimotor interventions, along with some talk-based therapeutic modalities.

Child & Youth Therapy

At Family Tree Therapy, we offer child-centered therapy designed to support children and teens in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways. Using play, art, movement and connection, we meet young people exactly where they are. We specialize in children's social-emotional wellness.

Adult & Dyadic Therapy

While child therapy is our heart & our home base, our therapists also work with adults and couples. Families are made of many stories, and grown-ups deserve support, too.

Supervision & Training

Taylor Nelson, owner of Family Tree Therapy, is a Certified Play Therapist and offers supervision, training and workshops.
