Family Tree Therapy

B (they/she) has experience working with adults, couples, youth and children (ages 5 +), members of the military community, and folks looking to explore intersections in their identity. B works with clients on concerns surrounding anxiety, grief, neurodivergence, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

B Hope is a Registered Psychotherapist with Scottish, French, and Māori ancestry. While they were raised across multiple regions across Turtle Island, they are also a member of the Rongowhakaata Iwi (nation) of Aotearoa, New Zealand. B believes play and art therapies allow us to explore who we are without judgement, develop greater self-compassion, and connect more meaningfully with the world around us.

As an Indigenous therapist with various intersections of identity (white-bodied, European, queer, genderfluid), B’s therapeutic approach is anti-oppressive, anti-racist, decolonizing, queer-affirming, trauma-informed, ecological, and ever-evolving. They integrate values of belonging, self-determination, and spiritual curiosity through both Western and Indigenous perspectives, offering accessible, non-pathologizing safety and care.

Guided by neuroscience, creativity, and the teachings of their ancestors, B supports those looking to grow with courage, trust in themselves, and embrace one's inner wisdom.

Registered Psychotherapist (RP), Child, Youth & Adult Therapist

Child & Youth Therapy

At Family Tree Therapy, we offer child-centered therapy designed to support children and teens in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways. Using play, art, movement and connection, we meet young people exactly where they are. We specialize in children's social-emotional wellness.

Adult & Dyadic Therapy

While child therapy is our heart & our home base, our therapists also work with adults and couples. Families are made of many stories, and grown-ups deserve support, too.

Supervision & Training

Taylor Nelson, owner of Family Tree Therapy, is a Certified Play Therapist and offers supervision, training and workshops.
